Yea, I amaze myself some times. I would of been happy to get the interior done before winter hit and tarp it off in the yard till spring. But I got into one of my workaholic modes and just kept at it. usually I get tired of working on a project after a couple of days and leave them sit for a week or two but not this time, It must be a Starcraft thing...

I have not got the boat in the water yet, I was waiting till after the first of the year before I get the new sticker, and because it did sit for seven years under a tree I want the motor to be looked at by a decent mechanic. Just for the piece of mind.

From what I have read If I put the right pitch prop on it, she should do 30 MPH. and If it will do 30-35 then I will be happy with it. I don't need to be the fastest boat on the water, just quick enough so I am not spending all day to get down the river. and if these Yamahas are easy on gas,
(compared to them older Johnsons) then I will be even more happy .

Nicely done, she looks ready for a trip up the river:D

Being a MSU grad I like the green, and I'll bet that Yamaha will push the rig plenty fast for you while sipping fuel.

Let us know how the splash goes, good luck to ya!

Cool, keep us posted as I have a 63 Jupiter I am working on now but I was thinking of using a 70hp OB. the boat came with an old 100hp merck which was way to much and super heavy.

That 70 should be just the ticket, Most of the ones I find have a 50-75 horse on them.

I think the boat is rated for a max of 85 hp.
