Re: 1967 Sea Nymph, 14'
Rain, snow high winds, torrential downpours. This weather is not good, it snowed Friday night here. Well I finally went back to working on the boat. I worked some Saturday and all day Sunday. Got a bit accomplished.
Trailer is officially 3' longer!
Here I scabbed some steel on the outside of the tube so it would just slip inside the current tube.
Then I slipped a 3" square tube over the inner tube and bolted it all in place. Primered it too. This summer it'll get painted Sun burst yellow. I'll redo the whole trailer and pretty it up.
A new trailer jack from HF, $20.00.
I also removed the end caps. Previous owner used all steel fasteners. It was a hoot to get them out. Grinder and drill and punch until my ears rang. Hey it's over now. Zach and I loaded the boat ourselves, just winched it on the trailer. Nah it didn't tear up the wet lawn...a lot. Don't tell SWMBO.
As soon as it gets into the 50's I'll epoxy. It was 45 degrees today. This needs to be done by next Sunday, whether the weather co-operates or not
