1967 Starline Deville - Replacing Ram Questions
So I have this really nice, all original 1967 Starline Deville and it runs really well but I noticed one of the hydraulic rams is leaking and enough oil leaked out that I can't raise the outdrive.
I found a local Marina that actually has one in stock, they don't have two, just one or I would buy them both so I have a replacement for the other side. One of the older guys that looks like his worked their from the 1960's told me they don't make this type of ram any longer and he can't get a seal kit for it?
I haven't looked online yet but I'm hoping to find a kit or another replacement or a place that can rebuild these things.
Here's the boat, followed by a question, it runs out about 35 miles per hour and pulls skiers up without any problems. I'm pretty confident I'm the second owner as I bought it at an Estate Sale in SoCal.

Here is the leaking ram...
It's leaking out of this cap...
Question: If I carefully unbolt the hydraulic line and then remove the ram, how does one go about bleading out the hydraulic system?
???
