Give him a beer and a shot of Jack! Nice job.... So I have question.. Did you have the trailer sand blasted or did you sand it down?
:)

No sand blast this time just a little sanding and wire brush.

Great job Azlo, but where are the fenders? LOL, kidding ya brother but I wouldn't want any dirt kicked up on that beautiful paint job. I really like the design in the back too. Whats next, install complete interior next week end?

I have to clean them up and then put them on and still need to adjust the rollers. Almost done, my goal was to set my tin on. Yeah I wouldnt want you to eat my dust.:p

Dale don't forget that you did press the "reset" button and switched boats mid-stream:D (you would've been on the water by now in the Starchief right?;))

Upon my buddy fshngho's request I went ahead and installed my fenders.:)

Didnt do much this weekend accept clean the garage a little and weld my Keels?!?! Yes I welded the caps to my keel rollers. Those things suck man. Everytime I turned around they would fall off. I did a search trying to find a remedy but just went ahead welded them and painted.

Finally my trailer u bolts arrived for the bunks.

They are stainless versus galvanised. Also the rest of the bolts are Stainless, Nice.

SO far so good. Im done with the trailer, will do the final adjustment when everything is loaded. Moving on to the deck. I went ahead and order "Max Bond".

Could not find any reviews on this, so will see how it does. But first will need to get Foam from HD for flotation.

I almost bought that Max Bond stuff but I got just a little better deal at US Composites. The reviews I remember reading were favorable if I remember correctly.

Have fun!

I think the painting phase Fshngho , is the most rewarding part of the restoration. I had fun doing it. I didnt like sanding much but the wetsanding was great for the hot days. Enjoy your phase.

Not much of a weekend. Cutting foam is easy but boring. But finally had the whole hull full extruded polyesterine (foam).

MAH005561.jpg

Out of the 6 sheets I have one left. Will install it on the sides later.

Looks like a "Sissy Boat" To me. A Real Man would have used BLUE foam, especially since he Has a BLUE boat, But NOOOOOOOOOOOOO he had to use PINK SISSY foam, Man what's up with that????

I'm just sayin...:D

Really AZ, Nice job with the Foam!!!!!

Boring or not, yet another step to check off the list;) Azlo are you going to do anything to eliminate any possible squeaking? That is one of my concerns but I haven't decided which method to use. The other question is about any plumbing. Will you have livewells or run wiring under the floor through pvc?
