I have been fixing up a 1974 Chrysler 10hp motor over the past couple of months - basically "hacking at it" an hour here and an hour there. I had to pull the powerhead off of it to remove and free up a frozen swivel assembly, so I now need to replace the base gasket for the powerhead. There are actually two - one is rubber and is still ok, and one is paper and needs to be replaced. I've surfed here at iboats a bit, as well as on the net in general, and haven't found a source for one. Sierra does carry some older Chysler gaskets but doesn't seem to have what I need.
Any suggestions by those of you who are Chrysler gurus will be appreciated! In fact, I'm probably going to find myself fixing a few other things, so if you know of a source for a "gasket kit," that would be great too.
