Hi,
My father has a '75 75hp Johnson stinger. i'm not a big boat guy and was wondering if i could get some advice. The motor was rebuilt a year ago so it has new pistons, rings, and good compression on all cylinders. The motor runs fine at idle and strong at wide open throttle. The issue is that totally boggs hard when you first try to accelerate. I'm assuming that its the carbs. They haven't been touched since he bought the motor in '75. They didn't even do anything with them when the rebuilt the motor. If my diagnosis sounds reasonable, how hard is rebuilding and adjusting the carbs. The only carb experience i have is with a 1V carb on my 72 form maverick. Any help would be awesome. Thanks
John
