Sirs,
I have checked and found defective rectifiers (20 Amp) becasue my batteries are dead.
I have Tachometer reading but no battery charging...
Were I live in Venezuela is very difficult to find new rectifier. So, my question is: Can I repair defective rectifier?
I?ve been trying to remove the hard transparent silicone behind the aluminum case and found a dark area (burned silicone because maybe overheating electronic components)
I will try to check and to install new condensers and diodes...
Have you heard about repair this rectifiers??
If you have any experience on this, please let me know.
Another question: My engine has 02 rectifiers.(20Amp each one). If I repair only one, will be enough to charge the batteries???
Thanks
Carlos
