1995 sundowner 195 with a 302 engine

I am going to look at a 1995 sundowner 195 with a 302 fuel injected motor, anyone have one or know about these boats. I have a feeling all this guy did was drive it, didnt do alot of maintenace what should I expect to replace on this boat if I get. I know plugs and wires, fuilds and outdrive impeller, what about exhaust manifolds I am sure they havent been changed I can get this boat I think for 5000 but I am having seconds thoughts now. I know what ever boat I buy I will be replacing things just so I know its done.

Mercruiser or OMC? I'm thinking it's an OMC if it's got an FI 302 in it. OMC has been out of business for over a decade and parts and service are getting harder to find. Wouldn't be my first choice.

But if it's a 1995, there's a good change it's the Cobra outdrive which is compatible with most current Volvo drives.

yes its a cobra sx which is really the same has a volvo and the motor is a ford 302 there are alot of those motors around and getting parts should be no problem Hows the boat anyone have one or know about them its 19 feet long with a 7ft 3in beam.

I believe a Sundowner is a Four Winns correct? FW's are solid mid-range boats. A '95 is plenty old enough to be rotted though if it's spent a part of its life uncovered. Check carefully for soft spots and a solid transom.

I've got this combination in my 1995 Larson (302 with Volvo SX). Engine and drive have been solid. Never had any trouble finding parts.

Now a rotting floor and stringers............this really sucked.

Yes its a Four Winns looking at a 205 sundowner now with a volvo penta motor 5.7 and outdrive any thoughts on this its 1997 for 7500 with a trailer

If it's in good shape and not rotten...

Gotta check the floors, transom, etc. Condition, condition, condition.
