Re: 2003 Caravelle interceptor 212 fuel sending unit location?
Should be somewhere on top of the tank. Usually under an access hatch in deck if not accessible from bilge. Follow your fuel line back to tank, should be close to the connection.
Re: 2003 Caravelle interceptor 212 fuel sending unit location?
Thanks guys I found it underneath the deck.. one more quick question the fuel tank is currently full.. Do I have to drain all the fuel before removing the sending unit?
Re: 2003 Caravelle interceptor 212 fuel sending unit location?
No. Disconnect the battery to avoid errant sparking. Remove the 5 screws holding the sending unit into the top of the tank.
Verify the sending unit is bad first, though. Take the ground wire wire off and connect it to the (usually) pink wire in the center of the sending unit. The gauge (with the key on and the battery connected) should peg to full. If not, you have a gauge or wiring problem. If it does, it's a sending unit problem.
Re: 2003 Caravelle interceptor 212 fuel sending unit location?
Thanks guys for all the help... I highly appreciate it... It appears that the floater on my fuel sending unit was inop... Called Wema the company that makes my unit. They told me that I would have to purchase the whole fuel sending unit since they do not sell the floater by itself ...
