This is not even a half day job for them. Where do you get these times?

I called them today and they said that my car would not be touched until they had time for my car witch would be after the holidays. So maybe it would take them a few hours or so but they just dont have time right now to fix it i guess. Because of the holidays

Having worked on many vehicles, and having good friends that work as service managers at a GM/VW dealer

the fuel pump is part of a module. trying to get the $45 pump out of the $350 module without breaking the plastic snap tabs is nearly impossible. if your car is under warranty TAKE IT TO THE DEALER

Since you decided to TAKE IT TO THE DEALER, don't they have loaners?

If that dealership is so busy, which is hard to believe, take it to a DIFFERENT GM dealership..... Even me who lives in the middle of nowhere in the brush(literally) has a couple GM dealerships within 40 min....:)

Re: 2010 Chevy Camaro ~ Fuel Pump Issue?

The whole problem is that i cant drive it to them because the car shuts down after 40min and they said that if a tow truck was going to pick it up and bring it to them then i would probably get my car back after the holidays and for that time i would be without one. Its just a matter of me fixing it in 1 or 2 days tops and not going through all that pain or giving it to them and not have a car for the holiday.

Ah. Understood.

Exactly you live in the middle of nowhere and you have the dealerships but they are not as busy on the holidays. Where the dealer ships around my area are, are all busy during the holidays. But one thing your are missing out on is that i cant drive the car. It stalls out after 40min and i dont have the option to drive around and ask who has time to fix my car ASAP. But i will wind up taking my dads car for now and GIVING IT TO THE DEALERSHIP TO FIX OVER THE HOLIDAYS!!!!

Let's stop with the caps gentlemen and oversize letters.

Interesting....... but all of the weather I have seen and weather reports make no mention of 18" of snow in your area. Brooklyn weather past/current/future including snow accumulation is all available on the internet. So let's go easy on the exaggeration

Are you familiar with Good Shepard Church on Batchelder St, Marine Park, Breezy Point, Gerritson Beach, .......I doubt I need to keep going...... That's where I grew up and started boating so I do know the area very well.

They said NY was suppose to have alot of snow and they were warning about 18 inches National and Local Weather Forecast, Hurricane, Radar and Report. Yea i know those areas. I boat in Gerritson Inlet & Brezzy Point and Far Rockaway. But what is your point? They have Chevy dealer ships there? I am not aware of that then.

If it's a lease and they need your vehicle past 1 day, I would expect some form of loaner to take the pressure and burden off you. Use your phone and I bet you will get this resolved real easy. Merry merry.
Most lease's forbid you from doing these kinds of repairs, be careful.

Yea i have already gave it to a auto repair shop to do it and i got it back and they said it was a fuel pump. It was not getting its voltage. So everything is good now.
