Need more help on this thread! I'll try to be as concise as possible...I've done a lot of research on these parts and this is what i've found: I agree with all the part numbers but heres the twist to this...the forward gear is a six jawed (tapered jawed) cog...alls good there, now the reverse gear 31887...i have seen two different types of these, one i seen had two cogs (square-edged) and the other had three cogs, again square edged...now heres the problem...if you research the sliding clutch for this assembly it calls for part number 30941 BUT if you view the clutch with that number it has 6 tapered jaws on BOTH sides to engage the gears! I have seen another clutch that would match this gear cog configuration but the number is 52-35919....it comes from a Mercruiser '64 '65 year model with the EZ shift IA, IB, and IC...whatcha all think..??
