The primer job looks great.. Hope you don't have the same problem I did. I didn't thin mine more than 10%..
I had alot of gunk on the botton of mine too.. Did the paddle mix with a drill also..

Maybe if you do light coats and let them dry very well it will work out..

Have a good week Trooper..

The primer is dry, sandable, has a very nice feel to it...think I will spray some paint tonight after work!

Speaking of finish coat(s)....I just sprayed everything and a couple more pieces...didn't even use half a pint? The Admiral thinks it looks good....

The paint I mixed is awfully close to the same color as the primer...Just eyeballed it from about 6 feet, so not sure how that happend...

The pot will last 8 hrs...but the hardner can says 24 hrs between coats?

Do I need to worry about it?

I havnt messed with it, but after seeing how good you made that look, i may have to pull it out!!...thanks for putting another wedge between me and my boat LOL...its a belt driven motor i believe..

Looks great! Really nice work! Congrats.

Since you're so good at getting old stuff looking new again, the Admiral has requested that I ask if you work on middle aged white guys?

Come on hump day!

Ohohoh!

you have two miter gauges. Want to sell one? That could be a nice looking saw too, little elbow grease, some paint stripper...

Not sure why there are two, but one seems to have a longer rail than the other, will have to take a closer look. If the rail size is the same between the two saws, and they are redundant, ill just give it to ya man...... If you dont mind me askin, what did you use on the unpainted area to keep the flash rust off, like a linseed oil, or a wax?

i was just kidding ya zool...I did notice that one is longer than the other, the long one would be for larger work especially when doing angle cuts....

i used a scratch pad set my spinning sander on that to get the rust off, then applied johnsons paste wax for floors...keeps it sealed from the air and makes it nice and slick...

that saw of yours will clean right up I'd say...maybe some pitting....mine had a few spots too, but not too bad...

Replaced all the bolts with some grade 8 bolts, found a replacement switch, got everything wired up...blade tuned to be square with the table and the miter slots....fence lined up on the slots...think it is ready to make chips...need to get a new blade though...this one cuts but it has a few teeth chipped..
