Time to crack this thing open...

I recall that I was in a hurry when I put the cap on, so going to pull it and do it right...

That table saw sounds like a real nice piece...is it a commercial type machine...?

And I can only imagine that you had put the cap on just for the move, but still had some things to finish up under it?

It is just an older cast iron topped tablesaw...not the big heavy duty oner they make...but it will work for me just fine....

Yes I pretty much just threw it on knowing I needed it on to haul....I'll get it like I want soon enough..

That's a real nice table saw.. Great brand name.. If the rip fence is the same as in the pic, it will be a great addition to the garage..:applause:

Got the saw parts in primer...

Even though the spraying(HLVP) went very well (added acetone till is was pretty thin)....I noticed that the primer I picked up in a certian tractor store...had about 1/2" of gunk in the bottom of the qt can...I mixed it with a drill for 5 minutes or so before pouring into a container to add the acetone....the stuff hasn't been on the shelf any longer than I have been in PA...

Guess you need to put a stick in the bottom and check it before using?

Of course. It isn't bad enough that you do awesome quality work on your boat, but I guess you can't do that with a dirty old saw..:D. Just pickin on ya. That old saw is just going to look just as great as the boat. Nice score on it.

Nice work spraying the saw parts, I don't know about the gunk, but I reckon it isn't supposed to be there..

Just got a call from WoG...sounds like my primer may have seperated...waiting fir the 24 hrs to test it....if it doesn't produce powder when sanded....it will have to come off...crossing my fingers...

EDIT: Just got back in from checking...primer seems to be setting up....and sandable in the spot I checked

Most good primers have a lot of solids in them to help fill minor imperfections...
Like most good quality paints, when they sit for extended periods of time, the solids tend to separate out and settle to the bottom...
A good stirring is usually sufficient to bring them back to life...I have even stirred thoroughly once, let it sit for about 1/2 an hour and stir again to make sure I got everything distributed evenly...
You could put your saw in the place I found the pic of yours as another oldie, but goodie brought back to life...

Re: '78 Ebko Lebaron - Therapy

Note about Majic Primer. I spoke with the lead tech a Majic for over an hour several months ago when Decker was having issues with his primer on his trailer. I was told by the tech that once the solids in the Majic primer separate and settle they will not molecularly re-bond with the solution and the primer is pretty much worthless. If you buy majic primer you should open it at the store and ensure the solids are not at the bottom of the can. This came straight from Majic.

I told Trooper that his Rockwell saw was the saw I used when I was a contractor back in the 80's. It made me a Lot of money and was a great saw.
