I have a 1985 Force 125hp (1258x5a) and I took the prop to get it repaired and now I have forgotten the exact order of operation to re-install it properly. When I slide the prop over the spline and all the way back up against the lower unit it seems to rub up against the lower unit where the prop meets the lower unit (round 3 1/4 inch diameter ring looking area). The original paint is still on the round part of the lower unit so I am thinking there is a bushing that holds the prop out a little bit away from the housing? I don't remember it rubbing (slight rub, hardly felt or audible)the last time I spun it with my hand. Taking it out tonight and I don't want to mess it up. Thank you!

Picture 002.jpgPicture 001.jpg

The thrust hub goes on first. Then the prop, then the spacer and then the washer then the nut.
The parts in the pic aren't the right stuff other than the thrust and spacer and nut.
Prop is offa Merc. GOTTA have the right stuff!!! In that order.Or lots of damage.J

Re: 85 Force 125 hp prop installation question

Thank you very much for rescuing me so quickly. I was able to pick up the spacer at a local marine supply shop, had to take a loan out for the little thing, but its fixed.
Thanks again!
