Re: 92 Johnson 150 ois 60 degree..compresion expectation after rebuild??
Darn it Sparkie, you're making me feel guilty for all I've been saying and thinking about that miserable SOB since I got ripped off by him. I suppose I was especially PO'd because I'd spent over a year rebuilding my Checkmate and had my engine sitting in the garage for 6 months waiting to go on. Once I finished rebuilding the boat I assumed I was ready to start having some fun, only to find out the engine had major issues (cooling, lower unit, carbs, ignition, etc. etc. etc.).
I've been thinking the same thing about my "Frank Mathews Special", just kind of uneasy about what's inside considering the lack of care that went into the rest of it. I'm bound and determined to use it this season though, and maybe tear it apart next winter. Sparkie, if you do end up taking yours apart I'd sure be interested in hearing what you find.
what comes around goes around..he has chosen his life..it is a miserable one..I have more peace and joy in one hour than he has probably had in the last year. I will survive with a smile on my face. thanks for all the help.

I would check this over good before running again as the rod bolts may not be torqued correctly since piston have been messed with....my $.02 is tear it down and do it right as this one has not....
