2 of the 3 frm my neck of the woods have already been mentioned, but when you realize they are all in the same area, it is even stranger - in the heart of Amish country, PA ...

Blue Ball,
Intercourse,
and Paradise!
Aspeck, Intercourse & Paradise go together, but Blue Ball? How inferior must those guys feel next to those two other towns?

Hey college football match-up of the century:

Morehead State versus Ball State!

How about the infamous Intestate 69. Runs from Indianapolis to Lansing, Mi. the interchanges with Interstate 96.
Sure proves that IDOT and MDOT had a sense of humor.

Wow!!! I never dreamed there were places named like these you guys have mentioned!!!!! This is great!! Kentucky seems to have the greatest abundance of wierdness, maybe tied with Texas, which I KNEW would have some good ones. I bet in North and South Dakota there are some....all those cowboys and pioneers moving along years back naming things as tehy went, and it was anything goes, I am sure...whatever the mood at the time...or the activity it seems!!!!

Anybody hear of Moose Jaw, either Alberta or Saskatchweon. (Never could spell that) Good thing it wasn't from the other end of the moose when they named it.
