I recently did my cowling and pretty much did what you're doing. I Sanded it down with 60grit then 100, then 180 then 220. then 320. Then shot 2 coats of high build Primer to take care of any small imperfections. Sanded with a 3M ScotchBrite pad and Shot 2 Coats of Tractor Paint with Hardener. Let cure for 4 days and Put on the decals. Turned out Great! You can DO IT!!

Thanks WOG for the confidence! I went though the Blue Flamingo thread and would be very happy to have my outboard looking as good as it! :hail:

Not much going in the boat house, but current activities will lead to future progress! Last Wednesday I had a total right hip replacement and just got home today. In a couple of months I will have the left done. I have been chomping at the bit for so long to get things crankin on the Aerocraft but over the last year my joint pain has gone over the edge an it is just impossible to get much done.

I'm excited to be on the mend, with the worst joint gone, and i will be here living vicariously through your builds.:eagerness::eagerness::eagerness:

Glad to hear you're on the mend. With two new hips you'll be quite the dancer!

Good for you Sagf! Just rehab yourself slow and proper. Boat will always be there so there is no need to rehab that right now!! Like Rick said...
