Re: And it starts.............
I know that feeling all to well. I raised three daughters. It wasn't to bad until the youngest wanted to use my truck on weekends. What made that bad was I had a 600 hp motor under the hood. I took her out to a big open parking lot and let her floor it a few times to get the feel of it, knowing full well it was going to happen any way so she may as well learn under controlled conditions. She did just fine.
So my oldest 3 years ago, ready for first day of college (full academic scholarship for first 3 years), I ask her what she needs for college, she politely tells me one word...."Sugar",
My heart stopped, I mean seriously, I was having a Cardiac situation, shortness of breath pain all over spinning in my head weakness of my knees....
My wife seeing that I was having an issue told her to let us think about it for a couple days.
So the next day I spent taking the Injectors, big Turbo and Chip out of Sugar, my 2000 Ford F350 7.3L Powerstroke that I raced on weekends, ran in the low 13's. Luckily I saved all the stock parts so she could go back to almost normal with the exception of the exhaust.
Sugar now has 340,000 miles on her, I get her back after this next year when my daughter moves on to Grad School in the South(Not sure where yet she has been invited to NC State and UK) and we don't want her putting that much mileage on Sugar.
I have three Daughters, taught them all how to drive but a Professional driving instructor is a requirement.
Good Luck MUSKY!!
