I have just had my worst experience on e-bay and was hoping to get some advice. Sorry if this goes on a bit!
I bid on and won a modem on ebay; I paid for the item immediately via paypal which was the sellers preferred method.
After two days my funds were unclaimed and I contacted the seller to see if there was a problem. He complained that paypal required a fee of $1.75 and that he wanted me to send him a money order to cover it. I told him this was to his account and even copied the ebay sellers rules that clearly state this, but he continued to demand payment stating I will not take a pay cut and getting very abusive.
I contacted e-bay and made a complaint and the next day he begrudgingly told me Go ahead and send the money again, I will take the pay cut
I should have had the sense to walk away from this guy, but I didnt!!!!

I had sent my full mailing address via paypal and by separate e-mail and yet FedEx said they could not deliver and after much screwing around I eventually received the modem and noted that the seller had miss addressed the package.
On opening the package, I found that he had not sent the power supply so I contacted him again. He confirmed that he had forgotten to send it and would try and find it and send it to me. After three days he eventually came back and said he was not sure which was the correct power supply and therefore would I send the modem back, at my cost. I had had enough of this and told him that I would buy another power supply from Radio Shack, but that I was not happy with the whole transaction.

I left him the following Negative Feedback Absolute disaster, problems with paypal, missing parts and shipping. He immediately retaliates with Negative Feedback saying This guy doesnt pay for winning an auction and he doesnt pay for shipping.

I have tried to reason with this guy, but he has turned completely abusive, calling me a Con Man, Liar and Dumb Loser.

I dont want my money back, or payment for the power supply, I was prepared to leave him negative feedback, put it down to experience (there are always a few bad apples) and move on. But his Negative Feedback, which is pure retaliation and his abusive e-mails have made me want to fight this person.

To make matter worse I dont seem to be able to access ebays help forums and complaint line.

I have kept all correspondences for this transaction and have scanned them into a pdf file.

1. Is there anything I can do with this guy and my negative feedback?
2. Should I send the dossier of correspondences to e-bay?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated

Regards,
