Re: Another project K2500
I used a Devilbliss HVLP gun.......
The paint I used was considered bottom end PPG OMNI
https://buyat.ppg.com/refinishProdu...BrandID=f7b90464-5ca2-4bef-95c9-eb8aefd601f1# and the base coat (PPG OMNI MBC) was mixed exactly 1:1 with reducer (I used a fast reducer since it was so cold outside and in the garage) so 1 to 1 was easy.
Epoxy primer MP170 was mixed 2 parts primer to 1 part activator
Sealer primer was mixed 5 parts to 1 with activator
MBC base 1:1
Production clear was mixed 4 to 1 activator.
The activators came in their own cans and I used the plastic graduated cups.
Everything was strained prior to going into the paint cup.
Mixing was very very easy.
Application is picky since the ^ pattern needed to be exactly square and the proper distance from the body which is tricky....... we tended (both my Son and I)to tilt the gun at times.
