My 2 cents is that the top four now are, Scott, Laurin, Jacob and James. I think you will see Haley, Casey and Paul or Stefano on the hot seat. The only thing saving Casey's butt are the judges especially since they saved his butt a few weeks ago. Casey was terrible last night and he will more then likely be a lounge singer.

Laurin and Scott are both country singers and I think that Laurin feels Scott has the upper hand on country and she has gone more rock N roll. Regardless of the out come we will see Scott on the country charts and some day on the country awards show.

My wife and I really enjoy the show and it's an amazing variety of talent from heavy metal to rock to country. It's hard to say who'll win, but I'll bet the age of the average voter is in the 14 to 20 year old range, most of them never heard of Chuck Berry, Otis Redding, Jackie Wilson, etc.,etc. Old Pia's career has already taken off, so it ain't always the winner who ends up with a great career!. Darn good show this year!

Yepppp you are right about the age of the voters, and mostly female besides [ according to the hollywood insiders] thats why the girls get voted off. Young girls are jealous of the girls that can sing and wanna vote for thier heart throbs

Hey Skipper....Howdy ! Its hard to talk boats during snow mobile season Boatn season on the horizon No splash for me for awhile either. When I was younger I may be waterskiing by now. [ I drank alot then] And be one of those that take the T-Top off the car when its 50 deg and drive around with the windows up and the heater cranked. Duh!!! I liked lisn to Simon slam some of the contestants. Its all roses and sunshine now........

Ya, I was spending more time on the snowmobile forums whhen I wasn't riding!

Heck, when I was younger, we used to cruz for hours up and down mainstreet at night on the weekends with the heater blasting and it would be -20! I'm sure you've done the same...

I figured with Simon leaving it had to take some of the fun out of the show... I would think Steven must get crazy at times..... At least what I've seen in the ads.....

Count me (us) in . . . Very into the show here and, yes, this year is very different. We are not Casey fans, but I am a bassist and he blew me away last night. We were Pia fans, and had a hard time with that. The guys here like Haley, women don't. We've decided she dances weird, so I suggest she just stand there and look hot . . . Didn't go over that well, but we do love her voice. We are not Jacob fans, just don't think he could win, and although Stefano is growing on us, he's gonna go soon. Paul stunk last night if you ask me, and he is just a little too unique to make it. Scotty and Lauren are rising to the top for us. Scotty's maturity blows me away. Mrs. QC loves Lauren. We all like James, and he may win.

Yeah the Pia thing is so wrong... Im still all for Haley, that scratchy voice w the Janis Joplin sound rocks I M O. Plus she is Smokn'Hot ... Once again I M H O.. Lauren 2nd... I do agree Casey with the Bass was awesome.. Hes got good facial expressions as well. I would be a poor judge tho, too prejudiced. I would vote for a hot girl that sings rock and roll poorly then a dude that sings most anything well. Jacob for instance.. dont care what he does,its just not for me. Parents love Scotty I myself not big on the country vibe. Enjoyed James on Elton week w Sat Night or whatever with the burning Piano.... Paul sounds too squeeky to me...Its all fun tho

Pia had no where to go but up. she was a very beautiful young woman with lots of talent. sometimes I wonder if they don't let the better ones out early because they have a contract deal in the making.

BTW Casey is already on tour with I want to say Sugarland, a country act anyway. I like Lauren but hate the over done accent and the way she acts.

Haley is good with the right music.

I think James is proably the best but he sure doesn't have the "look" of a rockstar. LOL

I enjoy the show. think they should have kept the age higher though. young kids have talent but act corny.

Big fan here as well. I was shocked that Pia didn't get enough votes to remain but voters are fickle kids mostly. It appears that Scotty and James are getting the most votes and I can understand why. Stephano was really good last night and I wasn't much of a fan before then.

Haley didn't do such a great job last night, she was offkey alot. She has a chance but just like the rest will have to keep her material more current. Thats what will bring on the votes.

This year is a toss up as to who will get the final votes. They are all extremely talented artists and deserve a place in the music world IMO.

Well, I admit she has a fantastic singing voice. Probably the best vocie in this years competition but,,, watching her "perform" is right up there with watching grass grow. She will make a fantastic back up singer or maybe a studio voice or maybe even a fair recording artist, but I would not walk across the street to see her perform. Just my opinion...

We've never voted and claim to be big fans of the whole shebang . . . Jacob or Paul gone tonight. I think Casey may be riding a little wave since the save. The Judges bougth him some votes last night.

I would have bet money that Paul would have been off weeks ago. We have nicknames for some of the performers and Paul aka Kenny Loggins should be gone this week if the blond doesn't get the hook first. I'm no country fan but that kid really sounds the part. I was skiing Big Sky and MB when Pia got the hook so missed it but wasn't her biggest fan anyway. I thought the rock song was ok, not the best choice but gave the guitar too much solo time. Great guitar playing but a waste of good stage time.

So Paul gets the boot I see ... I vote now and again, I always voted once but I read that a person can vote 50 times ! This week I voted 5 times for Haley. I know I got to much time on my hands . :facepalm: Redial, hang up 5 times. Had to. When it gets down to all guys, i lose interest personally.

I tried to text my vote in this week. I put the 4 digit number in the to: area and then had to put the same number in the subject before it would send.

They give the number to text to but without anything in subject message won't go.
Did I do it correctly?

I had a little problem texting as well. Wasnt sure if it went thru. So I just entered the 1 866-XXXX XX [or whatever it was and hit send] Right away it said.... Thank you for voting for AMERICAN IDOL contestant number 4... [or whoever it was] Then hit end and then send again... Took maybe 15-20 seconds to vote 5 times. Seemed a lot easier. I M H O

I watchit every week. I think Steven Tyler was a very good add. Even though he is a dog you can't help but like him.. JLo in my view has always been milk toast.

PIA was hot hot hot and could sing, but never really blew you away.
Haley is very cute and knows how to play to the camera. And I think she has found her sweet spot. I find it amazing how these kids learn so fast and become such great performers

The Gospel guy should be on Broadway or in a church. I can't stand how he frowns when he sings and the vibrato is too much.
I think the bass guy (notice how I don't know the guys names) has run out of tricks - He is good, don't get me wrong, but the ones that win this thing blow people away week after week and do not plateau.

BTW, Steven Tyler and Carrie Underwood did a duet at the ACM's last week. It was great in my opinion. If you did not see it, check out this link..

Mrs. QC was sure that Haley would go, I was sticking with the Paul or Jacob scenario, so I guess I was vindicated. I don't really understand why Jacob is still around. Nice guy, great voice, but no star power. Haley and Casey's duet was very cool. Brougth out another side of her that increased her rating in my book.
