The paint job/ gelcoat job (what ever you want to call it) looks amazing, I dont care what you anal pro's got to say because its looks great feels great and confident its going to last for years to come. So far you guys are far off from the paint not bonding and that its going to be ruined. Cant wait to get this baby wet
That is exactly why I Looked for a boat that needed work rather then buy one from someone that makes it look good and has no experience working with fiberglass products. I figured a vinyl restore and gelcoat or paint before i even bought the boat.I have lot's of experience working with fiberglass but never knew much about the problems that can exist in boats and that is why I come here was to get advice from someone that has done it everyday and sees their repairs on the water 10 years later...I guess he will be a pro soon 2 more to goWell..seeing as how I am not into the 'buy and burn' forums .. good luck to you.
Buy a boat .. 'turn and burn' is the best selling novel of used boats now.
Good luck with the forums as you have already prospected how to buy and sell ( with out consideration ) ..
Im out- ...
YD.
Gentlemen?
Wow, where does it say the op has to follow advice given here? He's free to listen or not and shouldn't get slammed for it. Lecturing him because he didn't do as you said...give me a break. Quite frankly its humorous to see self proclaimed know it alls getting their panties in a wad because someone doesn't take their advice as the holy fact. If it's so upsetting that you can't handle it, step back and check your egos.
Lovingly Yours,

Since my thread is still up, and I have just about finished with the hull completely, i would like to post some pics and comments of it before and after. I was posting this forum simply to get some simple advice which I have learned from working with this hands on. Honestly like I said im not looking for a professional job just a DIY. and thats what I got and looking to improve on the next job. Im not looking to get rich off flipping boats just get my money back and gain experience working with it, and cruise them on the river for some fun.. Thats not turn and burn. I have got nothing but compliments from neighbors and friends
