my automatic bilge does not turn on when the switch is off? i don't have a 3 way switch just an on/off switch. as of now there is one wire hooked up straight to the pos terminal of the battery. its the wire coming from the on of switch. should there be another wire to the pos terminal to allow the bilge to pump when the switch is off(when the float switch activates it)

Re: bilge wiring help?

A little confusing, but the toggle switch has to be on to complete the circuit if I'mr eading correctly... there is another switch in the auto float and that will activate when it floats...

I believe the way you have it you are just powering the on/off part of the bilge. You normally have three wires which lets you choose either on or auto mode. You may be able to get it to work if you added another fused line from battery to float switch. This is how I did my with a rule bilge & float. Hope this helps you.
