Blistering again

I have to disagree with the posts to the original Blistering thread. I have been boating for over 40 years and have seen many boats with Blisters on the bottom.

These boats were painted by the Mfg. or the Marina and they still Blistered. Fiberglass will absorb water, whether the bottom is painted or not, Sometimes the cause is the fault of the building process and the curing of the fiberglass.

The other guy was upset about his new boat having a problem and a few people on here were not very nice in their reply.

Quite true. Painted Blistered hulls are proverbial. "Proper" painting, i.e., sealing the hull is the key.

It was a 2007 boat.
Here is the warranty for the boat:
This Limited Warranty applies to the gel coat for a period of one year (the ?OneYear Warranty Period?) from the original date of purchase by the First Owner (the?Original Purchase Date?). Exclusions do apply.
Exclusions
Claims or assertions relating to the following are specifically excluded from coverage under
this Limited Warranty and Skier?s Choice disclaims any liability or obligation with respect to the
following:
1-12 <Snipped>
13. Gelcoat discoloration, blisters or bubbles, including, but not limited, to those which may result
from a boat being left in the water for long periods of time.

Sorry, not that I think it's right, but that boat never had ANY warranty for blistering.
