So I guess I will have to remove the transom board on mine, I replaced the old one last year with a piece of of preasure treated lumber, the trouble is it's a 2 inch thick piece of stock and even if I laminate two 3/4 pieces of ply together im still going to be 1/4 inch shy so I am going to have to buy two pieces of plywood to make a new transom.

4 pieces of 1/2" plywood laminated together will give you the 2" and you can get all 4 pieces out of a single sheet of plywood probably.
