Re: boston whaler

I'm sure someone does. Did you check the Boston Whaler board in the mfgr. sections?

Also, what do you need to know about it? Doing repairs?

I have a Outrage 17 I and know a fair amount about the II model you have.

What is your question?

Daughter #3 has an Outrage 17 with the "Accu-Trac" hull. I think it is mid 90s.

What is your question??

Most BW (I have a Montauk 17) manuals will tell you that the boat should sit with most of the weight on the keel rollers, and the bunks are there mainly to keep the boat stable on the trailer, not support most of the weight. This has to do with the boat's construction.

Re: boston whaler

The Outrage 17 I model was produced from 1990-1995 and the Outrage 17 II was produced from 1996-1999.

The "II" was a redesign using the new Accutrack hull and is slightly longer, wider and heavier. The model is considered a post-classic by some.

The fuel tank under the removable floor is aluminum and made by Florida Marine Tanks in Florida. Many owners have not replaced their tanks since they last 20 years or more. A OEM replacement tank is still available from FMT.

The ride of the Outrage I is a big step up in comfort from the classic Montauk. The II is another step up from the I.

While not many were produced, many consider both the I and II a great near/offshore fishing boat for its size, ride and features.

After moving up from a Montauk, I love my Outrage 17 I.
