Re: Bush finally gets it!

Here's an interesting thought, that Plywoody is really .....MOOSE MILLER  "How could anyone be so small minded, and out in another world?" you ask Nosleep. Beats me too, but those are the typical sentiments of the typical democrat these days. I think he's for real, but would get a hoot if he unzipped his skin to reveal he is actually GW himself pulling all our legs. :D

Re: Bush finally gets it!

SCO,

If your right than I misunderstood what was said or the Liberal news media got to me also.

However, My point was that "enough is enough". To debate how we got into Iraq is pointless and solves nothing. It does not bring the troops home any sooner, if anything it makes there job that much harder because they are aware of the public question there reason for being there.

If you read furter don the post I told Pwywoody to stick it. What he and the media is doing is disgraceful, IMHO. Instead of concentrating on how we got there we should be concentrating on what we are doing to get out of there and the impediments to that aim. It is not W. making things difficult over there.

PW had me so tick by this troll that I lost my temper. For that I am truely sorry. If we can get politicians out of the past and get them concentrating on the future We as a country would be much better off. My $.02

Re: Bush finally gets it!

Jgreg, I hope you understand I'm just trying to keep the record straight. I am not taking issue with you personally. The media is awash with talking heads saying that Bush and Cheney are not on the same page(just like PW said in this very thread), and many of us hear it and take it at face value. It's crazy. Everyone(media reporter democrat types) that heard Bush say" we have no evidence of a link between Saddam and 911" actually interepreted it something like this" since there is no evidence of a link we must in all arrogant and smug fairness give the benefit of the doubt to Saddam and conclude that he did "not" have anything to do with 911(even though we are suspicious as hel* because of links to alqueda, intel of meetings with Atta, and terrorist training camps,a practice airliner, and attempt on the life of our pres, a burning hatred motivation ,...,) . Bush and Cheney are saying the same thing, and there is no conflict. They never concluded there was a link, but they sure as heck arent concluding there was no link. GW's statement was a response to the absurd media attack accusing him of misleading the public by implying a conclusive link between Saddam and 911 existed. A final rhetorical question to illustrate the point "If Saddam was going to back the 911 effort with money, haven or material, would he do his best to cover his trail???, and if we don't find the trail, does it prove that he did not back the 911 effort???" PW, if a tree falls in the forest, but no one was there to observe it, did it make a sound?

justa a kinda small thought after clearing the webs from weekend at shack--
lot of concern why we went into 'ganistan and iraq-good that we have the ability to ask these questions--without fear of retribution--

somewhere in this thread i posted that one reason to oust sodom insane and taliband was global economic stability and the methods that insane and his ilk governed his people.
some have questioned (elswhere, media) why do we (USA) not concern ourselves with nations of less economic importance and governed by pos similar to insane (the humanitarian deal).

weeelllll- once the big players houses are in order---stable if you will---then rescources can--and will be invested in those nations--
-----'nuf said---------imo---

Re: Bush finally gets it!

I don't think it's our old buddy Moose... Wish he'd come back :( ....

Anywhooo... I've been pondering over a little question here lately... Hope that maybe someone can answer it for me...

Why is it when a liberal, or even not so liberal; democrat starts a political thread, he/she is immidiately deemed a "troll" and is said to be "just stiring the pot"?

But, when a conservative or moderate republican starts a political thread, it's a "debate"? Why? You think your better or something? Think your facts are straight? Where do you get your "facts"? I really want to know?

Now, I would'nt go breaking my arm patting myself on the back just yet my conservative friends... GW and his administrations final chapter has'nt been written yet, and he/they still have plenty of time to shoot themselves in the foot, not that they already have not...

I'm patient....

Re: Bush finally gets it!

I agree with you snapperbait, all posting on this board is a troll . In this case clearly pw was attempting to and did get a rise out of us repubs. I do the same I think. Also , yes , it could go way wrong. We just don't like it when some of our fellow mericans seem hel bent to make it go wrong. Also, I am getting the idea that i am better than my liberal cousins, because I don't think they debate honestly, which means they don't concede when concessions are due. Prove me wrong. I'd prefer not to think that way.

Re: Bush finally gets it!

Snapperbait, it's not like that at all. It's just that conservatives rarely troll. This is a troll. Doubt that's true?
Well, where do you place Plywoody's last reply in this thread?
See? He baits the hooks, throws it over the side, and when us right wing types take the bait, he sits on his fingers instead of typing with them.
I don't know why, but the facts are apparant, are they not? Maybee he's over there laughing, but he sure don't debate any facts he is presented with....He just starts a new troll, and keeps it going as long as the rest of us baracuda keep hittin the thread.
I like beer.

Re: Bush finally gets it!

yep, i like beer too--Steel Reserve High Gravity Lager ;)
anyhooo- to SB, this is common occurance (conservs beating up on lib viewpoints) on a (other)discussion board i'm member of.

and SB, you are so right to point out that someone, lib or not, will get beat up by majority of like minded thinkers. seen this happen b4, usually drives the accused troll away, or causes long time members to get tossed.

myself, i embrace the viewpoints of ALL--discussion and debate (honest debate) are imo the reason for boards like iboats (as well as the exchange of tech info AND provide a source of products to those who do not have a marine "walmart" on their local street corner)are in place. i do take exception to those who will intentionaly post a topic to stir up the regular folks.
to this end, i sure hope i did not offend plywoody, or others for that matter, for what i said here.

i tend to avoid political and religious posts SB due the eventual turn that they take due to the very passionate positions we as individuals hold regarding these topics.

best to ya all folks---and
(edit)--one of the most enjoyable deals here is reading the creative posts by members like Castawayray--the guy is very creative--and all folks posting here :D :D

Re: Bush finally gets it!

Plywoody, you should be ashamed of yourself! I am trying to build a house and you are taking advantage of the situation in Iraq, and the poor people that have been hammered by hurricanes! The cost of your plywood is skyrocketing! It isn't costing you more to make it, is it? Then why are you charging more? That is so capitalistic! You should be ashamed of yourself!

Re: Bush finally gets it!

Here's your link to 911. It's enough for me. Then again, not meeting the terms of his surrender and trying to kill a US president were enough for me.

Re: Bush finally gets it!

Plywoody, I really hate to see you get slammed by what appears to be every user on this site, including myself. I want appologise for letting my ire rule my pen, and will do everything I can to refrain from namecalling. You have every God-given right to the same freedoms as any other human being. The dessent thing is a bit much, but you have the right to express your opinions.

But I gota go here; I like beer.

quotePlywoody..."
It might be a more effective debating tool to point out where I might be in error, however.
Oh, and use some evidence and facts this time. For example, To say that Saddam has the "means and opportunity" doesn't cut it. What are the means and where was the opportunity?
He had no weapons, and even if he had, he had no means of delivering them, for example. He was boxed in in a no fly zone, and couldn't have flown a paper plane out of it.
Oh, and you can say that, hey, he hid the weapons from us. Again with no evidence whatsoever. But for the moment, let's say he did, and they are easily portable. So now in the country we have terrorists of every color streaming in and out of that country seemingly unchecked. I guess they could be hauling these wmd's out of the country to keep us from finding them. How again did this achieve any of our supposed goals, and make us safer than we were?"
(end Plywoody quote)
This is allways attempted, but does not werk with you. It never has. You make charge after charge,
AGAINST the United states, centered on the President whom you seem to have a deep, transparant hatered for, allong with his administration. It trolls many here into replying in an attempt to defend thier country or thier
Commander in Chief. At least, I feel complled to defend it (let me just speak for me here).

It has been pointred out where your acusations were blatently false, with links to the facts, and you never attempt to detract ,just distrract. You claim Bush is taking us into the breach for such rot as to make his VP rich, yet Chenny sold all his stock and interests in Haliburton, AT THE TIME OF HIS ELLECTION. That does NOT matter to you. The fact that he was a major stockholder, and that Bush's family had all kinds of interest in oil, is your reasoning of why he sent our military into Iraq. I'm so sick of typing this reply, I'm comitting it to notepad for future reference..But you asked for facts, as tho you were unaware of them, and so, I am obligated to explain it again. The war on terror will be won. You cannot stop us. Your attempts at turning this into a quagmire will fail utterly. And you allready know why. The fact that there are two fronts is of little concern, except in how stretched the supporting dollar and the armed forces are. If we had the recsourses, trust me---we would be in Sirria, NK, Iran, Libya, Africa and many other terrorist lairs at the same time (which is now). This is because the war on terrorism is a war. Bush said it will be a long, costly war, with as many fronts as there are agencies of those who would fund, harbor, train or equip such groups to attack us. Yet you ignore this repetedly!
You ask for evidence? Where the hell have you been exactly for the past two years?! You Can't be serious!
* Even the Clinton Clan had proof positive that sadamn had WMD.
* Even Isreali intel had proof positive that sadamn had WMD.
* The only evidence left is to release them over our heads! They Exist. Is this what it will take?
* The problem is going to be finding them before they ARE released, Plywoody!
* Terorist traning camps in Tekrit and elsewhere.
* Mass graves. Kurds, Sheites, and even Baath party members.
* underground prison complexes, and torture chambers with blood DNA linked to US soldiers.
* And other blood, sources : unknown.
* Arsenals of warheads capable of delivering biological or field nukes in four different sites!
* This doesn't take into account what he had 4 months to move. Any moron would've moved them, but
he just moved the worst of it, so far.
* Alqueda Training tapes found in several locations.
* Known Alqueda operatives now arrested and in custody in Iraq after attacking US troops...some
even claiming "American citizenship"!!
* He used WMD on his own people in 1989 , and attempted racial genocide with it! Where were you?
Turn back around, and look at what your proponent has done to his own countrymen!
* He had entire flight wings of the best soviet fighters money could buy, burried in the sand. Why?
Because of the no fly zone? He had 4 months from our insistance to honor the resolution, to disclose them,
yet he faiiled. He could've, we would know, and have left them there, had he complied, but noooooo!
Why did he do that? He had a dang good reasons for not complying.
* First, it took him 11 years to reaquire them!
* And he thought we would let the UN, France and Germany in particular, in his pocket big time with the
"food for oil" scam ,keep the United States at bay long enough to burry it until the UN apeased us.He really thought he could get world opinion on his side, and your media was well on it's way to convert us. They are loosing, but still trying. Thier daily bombarment of distraction from the rebuilding going on over there is easily breached, yet they are relentless on the CBS evening news. You saw this happen on nightly TV, before your eyes, yet, your media has done it's job, hasn't it? YOU ARE CONVINCED.

* The busloads of terrorists are entering Iraq, and I say great. Bring them on. Let's get rid of the mutants there and now! Better there, where we are deployed, then where we are not yet deployed.
Keep em commin, Plywoody. It narrows-down the fronts to a manageable number. lol.

quote;Plywoody
"Oh, and I love the socialist communist and whatever else you threw in there diatribe. Where did that come from? I suspect the theory is if you cannot find concrete things to disagree and debate, you can always simply make up things as you go along. go ahead, if you want to, but it still is not a very effective debating tool... "(end plywoody quote).

I can explain this. It's because of your anti-capitalist postings such as "Bush's big oil friends"....Haliburton this, and Cheney that. Then there's what you do not complain about, that speaks volumes...Like No mention of the proposed 400BILLION Dollar spending package to institute a socialised prescription medicine give-away, while whining about 87BILLION/87BILLION OMG! This rubber-stamps yer forehead, "Socialist" my friend. The commy thing is a bit of a stretch, but most communists are socialists as most Capitalists are Free. So the commy thing just kind of ooozes-out .Sorry about that...The commy thing, that is. What price for Freedom, Plywoody? 87Biilion +75 Billion? I say,
not bad and I like beer.

12 - he doesn't even read the responses beyond maybe a quick skim for something to complain about. We are all just preaching to ourselves these days. Funny thing is, the more he lobes granades over the cyberspace wall the more resolute we all become that we did, and are doing, the right ting.

I am glad we ousted that SOB and if I could I would put a bullet in his head myself. I would have no problem doing the same thing with the leaders of Iran, Syria, Suadi Arabia, Egypt, Yemen and any other nation that want to do us harm.

At some point dessent becomes treason when national security is at stake. Some like Kennedy, are giving aid and comfort to our enemies and are responsible for putting our soldiers at risk. That fat, alcholoic murderer should keep his mouth shut unless he can backup with evidence what he has been saying.

Too strong? Well if I drove off a bridge drunk and killed a young girl I would have gone to jail.

That fat pig has one nephew in jail for murder. Another that was charged with rape (while he was with the Senator boozing it up in a bar) and another nephew that had sex with the under age baby sitter. And this guy thinks he can call anyone a liar?
