Watched an episode of Dirty Jobs once where they were artificially inseminating a horse.
When they were collecting sperm, they censored out the male organs, but when they were preparing to inseminate, they got the camera good and close to show how you wash the lady parts beforehand.

interesting...

And to that I say:

F### Censorship.

we can all blame Justin Timberlake and Janet Jackson's 2004 "wardrobe malfunction" stunt at the Superbowl for increased censorship. I agree that if the song was good enough for radio for 2-3 decades, why bleep it now.
as for hearing "bad words" personally, the radio has a dial. If I dont like what I hear, I change the tune. then if I cant find anything, I switch over to CD's or MP3's

Getting a bit off topic. Nobody likes censorship, but certain places and situations call for a certain decorum. Remember that you are not the only one listening, reading, watching, etc. Some prefer the safety of a place that is "guarded" and others do not. Just as it is said that if one doesn't like it, they can control the knob, same goes for the ones that don't like the "guarded" place. It is always a decision of the management.

Here at iboats, the management has decided that this is a place for civil dialog and there will be no profanity, nothing off-color, nothing political or religious, no selling, etc. That is their decision. Just as it was the decision of the radio station to censor an illegal activity. That is their perogative and a decision you either live with or change the channel.

Please don't use this thread as an excuse to go "off-color."

It's a shame because some folks might never hear/know the real words from the artists and the true meaning of their song/story because they often change it to something that rhymes with, but has nothing to do w the original word.
