I have a 2005 Load Rite with Tie Down brakes. I bought the boat last year and had it inspected right after purchase before making the 4 hr trip home. I have not had any issues with the trailer.
While repacking the bearings, I noticed that part of the piston boot is cracked. No signs of leaks. I know that the boot can be replaced, but given the age of the trailer and just how the calipers look, I'm thinking of just putting new calipers on. Since it is a Tie Down system, can I just buy new calipers like Kodiak and re-use the existing caliper brackets?
