Had a great time at the lake this weekend. The air temp was perfect and the water was around 74 - 76 according to the gauge on the boat. My buddy went fishing yesterday and only caught 1. Maybe cause he didn't go out till late morning. He was headed out again early this morning but we left to beat the traffic to So CA
Looking forward to a week in early July!

Here are some pics of the Beaches around Mushroom Reef taken this month. They should be really nice in about 10 0r 15 more feet of lake elevation, when the water level rises over the bushes to the better sand:

She's 1/2 boxer is all we know for sure. Other than that she has a lot of traits of labs. She LOVES the water and is a strong & fast swimmer. She was a pound puppy, one of a litter of 5. So many people wanted them that they had to hold a lottery. Out of around 50 in the lottery, they drew my number first so I got the pick of the litter so to speak. She was the only female and I literally pissed off a lot of people who brought their kids (on a school day) hoping to adopt her. I said, 'hey I have kids that want her too, but they're in school!' She turned 5 in Jan.

My dog hanna is a red shepperd,which i also recieved from my local shelter almost 6 yrs ago.Soon after my other germen shepperd died i was there looking at all the breedsmostly pit bulls,when a cop saw me and asked me my story.Then he took me to the back where there was a small cage with many breeds inside and at the front was my hanna,with many scars and half eaten ears she ruled the cage.the cop said she was going through k-9 training when they realized she was gun fire shy.After many months of hard work, now shes not so skittish, and can begin to live life without chasing crimanals.she is now 10 and healthy except her gums are lookin a little bad.anyhow nice dogs we got .

Awesome. That's great you were in the right place at the right time, just like me. You've got a great dog there. I know shepherds are very loyal dogs. With training like that, she's really got to be smart too, and easy for you to train her further. That's cool you were able to devote the time & effort to her to get her past the skittishness.

Have a great one! We'll be in the 'general Temple Bar Basin area' depending on the water level. It's going up about a foot a week so some of the beaches are changing dramatically - and some even disappearing. We may end up going downstream to Havasu to stay the day with some friends for the festivities and coming back on the 5th for the remainder of the week.
