So, I'm brand new to boating. I just bought my first canoe 3 days ago.
Anyhow, I bought a brand new 12V 40 amp marine battery from Stowaway to power my 40lb trolling motor and it died in about 30 minutes of use. It was sitting in the back of the canoe in about 1 inch of water. My girlfriend says the water probably drained it and that I should get a box for it, but I thought deep cell marine batteries were built for this type of use?
