As many of you know, I had a fuel related issue with the new to me boat. Was convinced it was water in the fuel from the E10, but after verifying with Kolor Kut, there was no water in the fuel. It turns out the fuel filter to the carb was clogged.
Easy (and cheap) fix. So I'm back on the water once again (worst 5 days of my life..)
So now I have about a half tank of E10 in the girl. We have decided the cost savings of lugging gas from the gas station isn't worth it, so we want to be fueling up from now on at the local marina that uses ethanol-free Rec90. I have heard that there could be issues if you mix the two. What are those issues, and what should I do? Was thinking to just wait until I run out of gas, with a 5 gal can onboard of Rec90, then fill up on the way home. Whaddya think?
Mods; I posted this accidentally in the non-boating section. Please move it. Thanks!
