Hello guys trying to check coil under flywheel the coil I'm trying to check is the one that has two brown wires going to the duel spark plug coil I know I should have a dva but I don't so I used my meter to check ohms 1 wire has 498ohms and wire 2 has 847ohms almost 400ohms differents does that mean the coil is bad the problem I'm trying to solve is no sparkabove idle or misfire above idle thanks any suggestions would be appreciated

ohms test for a 87" 48 spl charge coil is fairly easy, two brown wires, together its 525 +/- 25 ohms (different part numbers for 91 vs 87 specs probably different) , testing each wire to ground should be O ohms, if you get a reading look for a short to ground or replace. one voltage test that you can do without DVA, is one test lead to brown wire the other to ground, crank engine over several times, , if you get any voltage, check for short to ground or replace coil. test both wires. test procedures from service manual
