I was also referring to used .Everybody knows somebody that has had a bad vehicle from pretty well every mfg but I understand your point ,im the same with dodge ram trucks ,my brother is the unlucky owner of one that had enough work done on it he could of bought another one.The 2 people I know that own kia,s love them to death. When it comes down to it we each have a choice and are entitled to buy what ever they want.Chances are I will buy another ford as ive done for the last 44 years, lol.

Problem with the Kias and many direct injection engines is the carbon build up on the intake valve. The new 2018 Ford engine I have in my truck is also DI but in 2018, they put port injectors also in the intake path to alleviate this issue. Toyota also does this but not sure if Kia has started doing this in their newer engines. Might be worth researching that before you buy a Kia to see if there is a certain year where they may have added the port injectors.

Well unless something drastic happens ive bought a 2013 ford edge! 48,000kms ,3.5 v6 280plus hp 6 speed tranny with awd.Pretty well mint condition and all the goodies id ever need .Will post a pick when its mine and in the driveway.Up here in Ontario we have whats called a mechanical fitness cert ,that every vehicle has to have to be on the road when sold used so they cant sell you a poor vehicle without severe consequences.Bought from a highly reputable dealer also so they wont risk their name.Looks like I will hit the 50 year mark of owning fords with a couple of exceptions, lol.

Called insurance company today to get the edge covered for tomorrow.Good price and because its awd it automatically qualifies for winter tire discount as did my 4wd.All I need now is the vehicle ,24 hrs cant go by fast enough but I will live ,lol.

Yah I did a complete 180 on what I was going to buy.I honestly couldn't justify a truck anymore and this girl will get way better mileage than the 150 ever did and still tow my ss160 with zero effort.Tons of room in her and awd .7 grand difference too!

Should not hurt anything at all, I have a few of mine set up the same way.

Toss the draw bar and ball into your pickup and measure the height. Then do the same with the Escape. The difference should tell you what you need to do for the drawbar - either flip it OR replace with a straight bar.

Yes I was thinking the same thing briangcc. So, I cant read very well,it has 42000k on the odometer not 48000 so that's 26,000 miles.Always garaged which unfortunately I cant do as my garage is to narrow so any suggestions about how to keep the rims looking great and protected during winter.Ive been told to just slather on Vaseline. My old uncle use to cote his chrome with diesel oil back in the day.I wish I could afford winter tires and rims.My dealer will match any local price so????maybe ,who knows.Nicest vehicle ive ever owned by a long shot .Love the backup camera and contrary to what some people have said I find the sync system easy to use .The 285hp 6 speed sport tranny make her scoot pretty good. Its nice to get a local trade in where the owner babied it.

They make a spray for wheels to protect them from winter time grime and corrosion.

Plastic covers MT.

I don't know if it works on plastic, I would imagine it would the plastic chrome is actually similar to what you find on the regular chrome wheels as in it is a protective coat over the base. Around here I take the wheel covers off during the winter so I don't ave to worry about damaging or losing them.
