The sacrificial gear in the drive lasts about 6 months now. The original went 35 years but the replacements aren't as good a quality it seems.
Yeah we got one for MIL a few years back and she never used it so we took it and it absolutely does not compare to mine which is circa 1997.

Or that aint the real issue .... post actual compression readings and serial # :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:
Cylinder 1 was 45psi. Its rolling over backwards. Serial K5ss. Please advise.

Yeah. The unit itself is 89 or 91 but they definitely changed the material on the replacement gears. I've been looking at getting a true pro model or gear drive unit. Not like im beating the crap out of it though.

Does your change speed from stir to 2? Mine never has and a friend has one that does not as well. Same era, not new crap.

This is a bitter reminder for me. Mine was from the 80’s and I loaned to the chef where I work he left with it and I never saw it again. My currant one is probably 10 or 12 years old now. It’s never had a problem but I’m just waiting for the day to come. I feel like very few things are made to last anymore.

All 10 speeds work. The difference between 8 and 10 isn't all that much but stir-8 works just fine.

10 is really reserved for whipped cream for me and nothing else. I find it don't need much more than 2 for most things.
