Foaming done. Last piece of the deck layed down. Next: cabin section, motor mounts and then glass over the deck.

Ps. I ordered new hatches. The ones on the pic wasnt just good enough to my eye.

Pps. I recommend to use poly instead of epoxy. Slow hardening time makes everything slow and hard. 2 part paint needs 5 layers so its also a lot more work (compared to 2 layers of gelcoat). Another thing is swelling. And the thing after that is peanutbutter because you have to use tons of cabosil and it loses visco (because of temperature rise) if you have to use a lot of it (I just ordered my 3rd 20 quarts package of cabosil).

Ive used so far:
9 sheets of plywood (I need two more I think)
60kg of epoxy (resin+hardener), 20 left.
40 quarts of cabosil
Maybe 250-300 pairs of vinyl gloves
+-40 plastic buckets
10 quarts of acetone
35 foam rollers
Lots of fiberglass
20yards of cleats material
Tons of mixing sticks
5 mixers to mix epoxy/PB.
4 pairs of air filters to my mask.
30kg of polyurethane foam (45kg/m3).

hey hadnt noticed tilll these pics but looks like you covered your gas lines in a chase, i was told that's illegal and coast guard can land ya boat for that, they are supposed to be unsheathed so the cg can read them and inspect the lines, i do like them concealed myself though makes it look clean but figured id warn ya :)

Thanks Micky! Thats the original design from Sea Ray! And Im pretty sure US coastguard wont come here to chech it up :D Interesting though! My lines can be removed for inspection. Finnish coastguard will give me few kisses for that hah.

More or less like this. This was the original design. I may increase the leg size just a notch to even out the pressure formation against the hull. I bed the legs against to stringers and the hull. After that I laminate them to all directions. I have only 2 layers of woven on the stringer at the moment so before anything I will fix that.

First skin glassed on the deck. 2nd skin precut. I had some neck pain yesterday so im taking a day off today. Cabin is nearly ready for the last foaming. Still plenty of small stuff to do but its getting closer and closer (nearly) everyday! I try to splash it by 6/25/2017. We'll see! Cabin took a lot more time than I planned ahead. I hope the motor mounts go with ease. Sorry for the wrinkles, i was too tired to do some make up, hah!

Looking good! Any particular reason you used 1708 for the deck and not just CSM? Just curious, and sorry if you already answered this..

Just because I used epoxy :) And its not 1708, just plain 17oz woven.

Problem solved. The shop that sold them to me didnt have the primer from the same manufacturer for some reason. I found the correct primer from Spain.

Good deal. I used products from Moeller. They make a primer specifically for bare aluminum.....zinc chromate.

Benches raw cut. They are exact copies with the original ones.
