This post is for Married Folks with Kids.

So I have an Idea to do a Date night out on the Boat. My parents live close by so they take the kids often so my wife and I can do date nights. I was thinking about a Romantic cruise out on the Boat just before Sun Set.

I think my wife would like it. Not sure how I could do a nice dinner out on the Boat though.

Give me some Ideas please. I know this Post is Cheesy.

Does anyone else have Date nights on their boat?

Nice dinner out would be to go to a nice marina / restaurant that you can arrive to only by boat, or that caters to boaters. That is different, and exclusive in its own right. Oh...and date nights rock! ;)

I just did that same thing this past Sunday. You pack a dinner and find a deserted island to do a picnic on spread a blanket on the ground and watch the water and chill. I always try to time is so that we are heading back to the dock as the sun is going down. We prefer the privacy of a picnic more fun than marinas and restaurants on the water.

Yeah date night's aren't cheesy, especially when its on a boat. Now granted I don't have kids, but my fiance and I have many date nights through out the summer. Sometimes I will pack sandwiches for her and I and some times we go to a restaurant/marina. Really it's all about being together and on the boat. We boat on the Chesapeake Bay and during the week its empty. I prefer packing food because we love being on the boat. The sunsets are beautiful too. She will love whatever you end up doing. good luck! let us know how it goes!

Guys were talking about Arizona here its nothing like Lake of the Ozarks or the like no restaurants or bars on the lakes. I like Sigs idea but again not many islands either..... me and the wife go out just the two of us a couple times a month all day, just cruise around the lake and relax, a little sun bathing for her and a nap for me, afterwards we go home shower up and go to dinner.

I brought a nice bottle of wine once and my wife looked at me with that "You idiot" look I know so well and she told me the Boat is a beer date....

We have a nice secluded part of our favorite lake for the more personal things......

We have. And will again...when I get home. We have had date night in the travel trailer also. Its hooked up in the back yard right now, getting rigged for our next trip. The good thing about that is, the kids dont even have to leave...just leave 'em inside the house (with a monitor, of course)!

Roosevelt used to(Marina Restaurant) I thought but your going to have a hard time making Roosevelt an evening experience from Gilbert, I know Havasu has options but again that's a stretch for an evening...

You could find a nice place on Saguaro or Canyon on the far side of the lake and go with Sigs idea, just not on an island...

Apache has a few nooks and crannies but I think Roosevelt has the most places to hide...

Re: Date Night with Boat

Well we could get an early Start to either Roosevelt or Pleasant and get there before SunSet.

We could anchor the boat and take our Inflatable boat to shore. The boat would also tied just off shore as well to a tree. I have this fear of the anchor letting loose. Have dinner on Shore and other things.

We have done date night in our Travel Trailer as well. I think the boat on the water would be the most romatic thing at sunset. I we have to get back to the ramp before dark because I don't think Im experience enough to boat at night.

Parents 12 miles away does have its advantages.

Must plan our date night soon before it gets to 120 degree in the Shade.

I got one.... stash a bottle o' wine on board .. then after you get underway call a pizza joint and see it they can deliver it to a (maybe predetermined) dock for pick-up ;). Then you can part from the dock with a warm pizza and head back out :D

My thoughts Exactly. Hee Hee.

Told you there was a reason I like secluded islands and picnic dinners are light dinners but who is to say that nice secluded island is not a great place to have dinner too. :D

To keep the stress low I like to cruise back as the sun is going down.

Lake Pleasant has 2 resteraunts at their respective marinas. Scorpion Bay Marina has a Dillons barbque with a to go option if you want. I have my boat docked there. Good Times ...
