Re: Daytona...............
I like the new cars, easier to identify the specific makes even though if you know race cars the body make doesn't really matter anyway but good for new fans I suppose.
As for the spoiler, as always NASCAR will play a little bit and decide where they want the car to be, I am pretty hard on NASCAR but when it all comes down to it I think they only have racing in mind, whatever it takes to put the best race on (as determined by the fans), of course driver safety is a big part of it, to much down force is good in turns but slow in straights blah blah, you can't let the teams decide or they will be going 300 MPH and drivers will get hurt, I don't trust the teams to make driver safety decisions, they would just assume put a monkey in the seat.
I don't have an opinion on the new driers, it would be nice to dry a track faster but inevitably your still fighting mother nature and that is futile, I think I would rather go with an idea like once the race starts (all races start dry) if it rains get the rain tires out, I believe that NASCAR is the ultimate driving challenge, racing in the rain is not more dangerous then in the dry the only reason NASCAR doesn't do it is because fans will not watch wet races at the track I mean who wants to sit in the rain all day.
Dinger? I am happy he got his vices taken care of he is a very nice kid and I only wish the best for him but he handled things much different then Mayfield did, he never denied the issue, he tackled it head on and he should be rewarded for that as he has been, NASCAR (as a whole, the Org as well as its enormous fan base) is not heartless and is very forgiving, I am a bigger fan of his then I was before his issues.
