Maybe these new cars will be better on the midsize tracks. The race today was boring to me. Even the old way of driving with the bump and run does not work...these cars bump and crash... :D

I guess the #83 blocked the #31 all the way back in 23rd. Jeez. Congrats to JJ :)

For the most part, the last 20 years, I have found the super speedways to be boring, time will tell how this all works out, but I bet the smaller tracks, are going to be quite interesting this year, and I really look forward to the road courses!

@ least Montoya didn't hit the jetdryer! And most of the Hedricks cars showed how patience pays off ! I still miss Sr, the 3 was what made these tracks interesting and scared the hell out of the rookies!!!!!!! or whoever was in front of him for that matter!!!!!!!

Re: Daytona...............

Now that the bump drafting is out, everyones afraid to pull out and try something because you never know if you will have help or not, guess it's time to put the radio's back in these cars so the drives can talk to other drivers again. Then maybe the single file, afraid to try anything might give back some 2 and 3 lane racing more than just a few laps after restarts.

Re: Daytona...............

Haven't watched the race yet. Heard there were a couple wrecks and a lot of single file racing. Sounds like I could fast forward to 20 laps to go. Even Moody on Sirius wasn't too excited about the race. And he's always rah, rah about how great all the races are even when everyone else disagrees. Driver interviews said flat out they wanted to be there in the end. Can't blame them. You can go from about last to first in 10 - 15 laps. May have to record 'Dega too so I don't have to sit thru hours of single file if that's the way it's gonna be......

And it sounds like #31 had a stellar day....... Glad to hear Shrubby tanked........

JGR, RCR and Front Row had tough days. Not a good start for Burton. Glad to see Danica stay up front all day. Not so glad to see Biffle and Danica "appear" to be content with finishing 2nd and 3rd. Or, they waited too long to go and 4 cars passed them on the inside. And yep, the field didn't start racing until 20 to go........

I wasn't sure where you were headed with this. Marty Smith said "Jeff Burton looks as pissed as I've ever seen him."

Yeah, I was being facetious. He needs an attitude! Not that he had any control with his wreck. Sounded like a mechanical failure. Unless he said otherwise if they interviewed him... I would just like to see him drive a little more aggressive. His days are numbered as a driver..... I want to see him back in victory lane!

Re: Daytona...............

Definitely not mechanical. I think #83 blocked him and that's why he was soo pizzed. I joined Twitter for the first time on Sunday (I know, but felt like it was time). Marty Smith's tweets are awesome. He was getting info directly from #31 team. Previous best source of info for me during a race were DeLana Harvick's tweets which I was getting without joining. I caved . . . #31 tweets are good source too, but they stayed away from this.

Twitter(tweets), Facebook, heck I don't even text and I use a flip phone. I'm fighting technology overload to the death.... Yeah, when I saw one replay, both cars were so far in the background I couldn't tell what happened. I thought he might have blown a right front and went into the wall....
