Ok I over sized all the holes in my transom then filled with pb also filled the low areas on top of transom hope to tab later today after work I also filled the strake I think there called so my tabbing will lay flat less contours

That was tough I got a couple air bubbles but all in all I think its good will see when it sets

Sooo, what do you need us for? Great job. Very nice work on the transom. I can testify, as you go along you will get more comfortable with the resin. Thanks to Wood, I found it easier as I went along. Looking Good, man..

Did you use the bubble buster roller? All in all I'd say for someone that I KNOW had to be a bucket full of nerves that's a pretty good lay up. It WILL get easier and better!;)

Yes I did but I mixed at 1.5% and it started to set up some of it is reflections but there is some air bubbles.I guess I grind them out and put patches over them? That was a big piece with a lot of contours and I have to do it again oh boy

Yep large areas are a challenge. You learned a lot from the first one and it will pay off on the second. Dremel the bubbles and patch em and move on. I'm bettin' layer two will be darn near perfection!!!:D

I hope to get this repair tomorrow it looks like 2x material can I use a standard 2x4 for this also these look like standard 1x material wich I am replacing I assume standard 1x material

I agree with your assessment. I'd do the same. A little PB bedding and then CSM or 1708 to encapsulate them in place.

all ground out . Can I go over the areas with pb to fair them out then retab the whole thing

If they are not too deep, you can cut a few patch pieces of CSM and save some resin...although PB will work, too...

Thanks gt some were a little deep I plan on fairing the majority so the next layer ill be easier
