Hey can someone tell me why I can't get my motor to start when I put it in the Time lockout position, when compleatly unpluged it starts. I t is breaking up at high RPM's I really like the Delco EST. ignition, this is the first prob I have had in 8 years,

You have to start your own thread. Not hijacking this one with a different problem and engine.

People will be able to help you when you start your own.

hi gents...have not as yet had an opportunity to try the timing again....getting prepared for hurricane Earl right now and probably will pull my boat tomorrow as we're looking to get hit Friday nite....I'll try the setting again in my yard before I put it back in likely on Sunday....thanks again for all of your help to date and I'll give you a three cheers when I get it right

finally got it....when I am checking the timing at 3200 this has to be under load?....the engine rev's fine when it's not in gear

Doesn't need to be under load. Distributor doesn't know what the engine load is. it only utilizes rpm.
