Was going to replace the water pump today.
First step in the factory manual is to remove pin from shift rod and push rod towards the power head, which I did.
Went to drop the lu, and it would come down about 3/4", and stop. I'm guessing that the shift rod did not disconnect.
What is the trick to get it free. There is also a nylon bushing that came from the engine case where the shift rodruns thru that I cannot for the life of me get back in position.
What am I missing.
