I been getting these emails saying that some guy that has 50 million in us dollars has died and they need $10,000 to cover the bank costs and then they will send me half of that 50 million because the guy has no next of kin. I know this is a scam! Who can i report this too. I want this person in Nigeria to be locked up because im sure that someone will fall for it if this person sends this to thousands of people, someone is likely to fall for it. Is there a FBI place i can forward these to or what should i do? Thanks guys!!

I should have it any day now.

The FBI has a place to report the Nigerian Letter scam. Use Google.

And they have no authority in the jurisdictions these things originate from. TD has it right.

My bro-in-law who is now a retired cop, told me a lot of these "nigerian scams" are actually being pulled off by the Hells angels and other gangs from in prison. What do they have to lose. They are in there for life.

I read about some unemployed guy in Ontario that actually fell for this and now owes family and friends over $150k. He actually flew to London and met some of the people involved with one version of this scam... was behind a hotel in the alley. He was then supposed to meet them in New York... flew there and was apparently 'stood up'. Guess he saw dollar signs in his eyes and really thought it was going to happen.

Just ignore it and be done with it.

In Vancouver there was a scam going on about high paying jobs. You had to send him money for some kind of administration fee. The people who got taken, confronted him in a restaurant with the news media there. It was good to see one of those guys get cough.

The only thing is if it was me and i was there he would have not made it to court.

Most of them are now apparantly originating in Russia.
No way to trace e-mail if the senders are not stupid.
