My plan is to use Durabak as my final deck covering. With the Durabak being "polyurethane" should I use epoxie resin or poly resin to seal the deck with before applying the Durabak? Or does it really matter? I am using 3/4" exterior ply for the new deck is it nessesary to use cloth on both sides of the ply or the top only or do I even need to use it at all? Another thing I've read was to let the wood dry out before sealing it ..is that true with all ply or just PT wood?
thanks again for the great site..

Re: epoxie or poly?

If you want it to last then glass should be used, epoxy will last longer without glass, but will still fail on a high use area like a floor.

Durabak will stick to either product.

Plywood needs to be dry and it depends on where you buy it, someplaces store it inside, someplaces outside.

the resin itself has very little strength, the cloth is the structure, the resin just the glue sort to speak, I would glass it with epoxy and cloth

I'd use poly and glass cause it will work and cost less.
