I have a 1980 Johnson Stinger 75 - very similar to your 70. It was blown when I bought it, so I rebuilt it with .030 oversize pistons, carb kits, new waterpump, etc. It's been one of the best motors I've ever owned. It, too, had a link & synch problem when I first rebuilt it 15-years ago. A local tech showed me how to set it up and it made a world of difference. It's a rocket-ship now!
theres only one way and if that pickup timing is not right you will have that little lag or big lag especially after it warms up. invest in some aligator clips and teach the wifey what to look for or have her work the throttle....easy now girl just a little more....man ive tried many ways to sink it
sometimes it takes right off, others it has to hit that rpm where i know it will, any other boaters have these problems?
Sounded like a Johnson question to me???. I took it as one, so were is the problem Sixmark?
