"Fell Heir to" a late 1960s or early 1970s Crosby Utility/Runabout = INFO PLEASE

Folks,

Yesterday afternoon, I "fell heir to" a CROSBY open utility on a trailer, that the title states is a 16ft, 1971 model, with the windshield mounted FAR forward. - The POs son tells me that he believes that the boat/trailer was purchased in the 1960s.
(The boat is "stripped out", sanded & "prepared for re-painting" by the previous (deceased) owner. I'm told that all the parts are stored in a rented Public Storage facility & will be delivered to me by the end of January, including the outboard motor & fuel tank.).

The only numbers (that i have so far found on the boat) that look like that it MIGHT be a hull serial number is: 96091. (The trailer's data plate is illegible due to rust, vigorous sandblasting & "sander use". it LOOKS like a 1960s TeeNee trailer.)

Does anyone have photos of the late 1960s or early 1970s Crosby outboard hulls, that they can post OR a CROSBY outboards hull serial number list, that might help identify the hull?
(Seeing what the boat looked like, when new, would be helpful in its renovation/remodeling & possible "title correction".)

THANKS for reading this.

Sincerely, satx78247

You can find some info on the Fiberglassics web site library. Had a 1964 Crosby Fish-N-Ski. Fiberglassics is the only place I ever found any info on the boat.

64osby;jigngrub,

NOTHING on the library at Fiberglassics. - That's the first place, that I tried.

Also, the boat doesn't look like much right now, as it's in the back of a shed, all diassembled & NOT really good to photograph. - Thus, I hoped that someone has photos of Crosby boats of that era or a serial number list.
(Trying to put it back together, with no idea of what it looked like in detail, will be "interesting" to say the least.)

yours, satx

Do not try to "correct" the title.

If you have a title and it appears to match the boat in some way, leave it be.

Some cans of worms are left closed.

Is it a Crosby Marine or a Crosby Sled, made in Indiana or Florida?

Googled Crosby Boat images. Lots of different pictures there:

1959 Crosby

Lots more pics to chose from ...

aspeck; 64osby,

The hull looks SOMEWHAT like the 1965 photo & the hull looks NOTHING like any of the other photos. - It's a SLED for sure.
(I just don't know WHICH sled, especially with the windshield THAT FAR forward.)

THANKS for the input, satx

Some of the Crosby's had a balsa hull core - be sure to check that for water intrustion...

chinewalker,

As best I can tell this one is all glass, including stringers. (the sole is OUT from stem to stern) - haven't had the transom apart but it seems solid.
