"Fell Heir to" a late 1960s or early 1970s Crosby Utility/Runabout = INFO PLEASE
Folks,
Yesterday afternoon, I "fell heir to" a CROSBY open utility on a trailer, that the title states is a 16ft, 1971 model, with the windshield mounted FAR forward. - The POs son tells me that he believes that the boat/trailer was purchased in the 1960s.
(The boat is "stripped out", sanded & "prepared for re-painting" by the previous (deceased) owner. I'm told that all the parts are stored in a rented Public Storage facility & will be delivered to me by the end of January, including the outboard motor & fuel tank.).
The only numbers (that i have so far found on the boat) that look like that it MIGHT be a hull serial number is: 96091. (The trailer's data plate is illegible due to rust, vigorous sandblasting & "sander use". it LOOKS like a 1960s TeeNee trailer.)
Does anyone have photos of the late 1960s or early 1970s Crosby outboard hulls, that they can post OR a CROSBY outboards hull serial number list, that might help identify the hull?
(Seeing what the boat looked like, when new, would be helpful in its renovation/remodeling & possible "title correction".)
THANKS for reading this.
Sincerely, satx78247
