Re: Fishing After the Storms
My experience Tuesday...We went to Texoma in the rain to bank fish. The water was roiled and muddy from bank to about 30 feet out. We seined the muddy water and got ghost minnows and shad. We baited and chunked out past the muddy zone and every cast was a fish...bass, catfish, sandbass, striper, drum, big bream...we caught them all. We got buck fever when big fish popped our 12 pound line like sewing thread. I cant remember tying a decent knot after that. We had about 50 fish flopping on the bank, a lot got back in the water but nobody would stop to string them up. My biggest was a 15 pound striper. We were soaked to the gills. This was around 10:00 AM. We fished til noon and the bite slowed down but never stopped completely. We gathered up and left with a pickup bed loaded with fish. I love to fish in a rainstorm, but sometimes its tough to get somebody to go to help seine bait. Chunk
