Hello
I have a 1989 Force 85HP, noticed water in my last gear lube change, when inspecting the gear case I see a hole, please see pictures, this is a hole approximately 3mm diameter, I noticed some oil coming through but I'm not sure if having that hole in that place will actually cause a leak or the oil is coming from somewhere else.
I'm planning to seal the hole with JB weld, but still I think the water leak is caused by the seals as when I did the lube change I still ran the motor for about two hours and the oil was contaminated by water but not much, I think that if a 3mm hole is actually leaking I would expect all oil to go out and completely fill with water.
Please let me know if this hole is normal or should be sealed and if based in this explanation you think seals are damaged.
Thanks
