Don't forget it takes 48 hours for the OT recipe to fully dry and then apply two full strength coats of Spar Varnish. Allow 24 hours for it to dry and then do a light sanding with 100 grit and paint it, Do this, and it will last a very long time

Did you resuse an old insert or is it a new one? My old one was hard as a rock, but the new one went right in. Mine was vinyl, looks like yours was rubber?

I reused the old one
it was in really good shape
I never bothered looking for a new one
I should have looked into it

I'm not sure about yours of course, but putting the old one in vs the new one on mine would have been night and day. But you got it in, so that is all that matters, looks good!

Thank you
yes it's in so I'm not gonna look for a new one now
Hopefully the vinyl will be in by the weekend and I can start the trim on the inside
Whats everyone using for Staples
Stainless steel?

I think the ones I have used are actually called monel, but I also found some that were labeled stainless steel. I am not sure what monel is, but it says it is for marine use and "rust proof". Both were Arrow products.

Great work! Thanks for the inspiration, hope I get results even half as good as yours.

I got most of the trim pieces wrapped in vinyl
starting to look good in the bowrider area
(Disregard the dirty hull it needs a good wash )
